Biography & Education


Michelle Kimbrough leads Federal Advocacy for Eli Lilly and Company where she works to establish and maintain Lilly’s relationships with national organizations serving communities of color, as well as patient advocacy and health care provider organizations. By identifying shared interests in a variety of therapeutic and health care policy areas, Michelle creates partnerships aimed at improving patient care. She joined Lilly in 2007 as a Public Affairs Liaison working with mental health patient advocacy organizations in six states.

Prior to joining Lilly, Michelle worked in the nonprofit sector for over ten years with an emphasis on mental health. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings. In addition to the ACOFP Foundation, Michelle serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington Urban League and of Choices Coordinated Care Solutions, a nationally recognized System of Care program for youth. Michelle holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Indiana University.
